EPISODE 14.25- MOTI NANDI: A TRIBUTE
January 31st, 2010

He was a sports journalist who created unforgettable characters. Gritty and resilient characters, in love with life and their game. Their ascendancy over the adversities of life, their triumphs both physical and spiritual, were the subject of MOTI NANDI’s tales. Moti Nandi passed away on 3rd January 2010.This episode is a tribute to this great Bengali author.
This is a video-podcast of my reading of the last chapter of his novel “STOPPER”. The recording is live, almost lousy and my rendition leaves a lot to ask for. Story-telling is a familiar art-form in USA, but it is not so popular amongst Indian/Bengali audiences. This is my first foray into story-telling before a live audience and the first video-podcast for BANGLA GOLPO. I hope you see the potential for this art form.
I WILL CONTINUE WITH CHANDER PAHAR (4/6) AS EPISODE 15. Because of personal reasons I will be podcasting at a very low frequency during the next 3 months. I hope you remain a steady and faithful follower of BANGLA GOLPO-BENGALI STORIES during and beyond this period.
P.S. Keep an eye out for a SHRUTI-NATOK (audio drama) release on BANGLA GOLPO WEBSITE as EPISODE 14.5 soon!!
